Kudermetova, 21, played Haddad Maia on Centre Court while her sister Veronika Kudermetova, 27, ranked 25th, faced Viktoriya Tomova on Grandstand Court. Veronika Kudermetova, the older Kudermetova, improved the family’s fortunes by defeating Tomova 7-5, 6-3.
