Taylor Fritz has advanced to the men’s quarterfinals for the first time, defeating Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-7 (11), 6-1 despite losing a protracted second-set tiebreak in which he squandered match chance.
Fritz saved all 11 break points and will face third-seeded Alexander Zverev or Nuno Borges.
