Defending champion Italy will face Argentina in the first round of the Davis Cup Final in November. Thursday’s last-eight draw in the southern Spanish city of Malaga pitted the United States against Australia, Germany against Canada, and the Netherlands versus Spain.

The winner of the Italy-Argentina encounter will face the United States or Australia in the semifinals. The victor of Germany-Canada will face the Netherlands or Spain.
