Magdalena Frech won her maiden WTA title at the Guadalajara Open on Sunday, defeating qualifier Olivia Gadecki 7-6(5), 6-4. Frech became the fourth Polish woman to win a singles title this century, behind Magda Linette, Agnieszka Radwanska, and current world number one Iga Swiatek.

Gadecki arrived in Mexico with only two career wins over top-100 players, but she won four this week, including a second-round victory over world No. 11 Danielle Collins.

The competition was held at the Complejo Panamericano de Tenis in Guadalajara.
