“At the beginning of the match I was not feeling my best,” Mannarino said. “I was a little tight. And then when I was down in the second set I started to try and enjoy the match and play with less stress. I tried some tough shots and it worked out pretty well. And got a bit lucky to come back in the second set and then in the third set I was feeling better. I am pretty happy with that match.”
Korda wanted to take home his first championship since Parma in 2021.
The American, who is ranked No. 26 in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings, has now lost each of his five hard court tour-level final matches.
