The 2024 Hopman Cup has been cancelled due to its proximity to the Paris Olympics. The event will return in 2025, the International Tennis Federation announced Tuesday.

“With both the Hopman Cup and Olympic Games due to take place in France this year, hitting pause on the Hopman Cup until 2025 is a sensible decision,” David Haggerty, president of the International Tennis Federation, stated.

From 1989 to 2019, Australia hosted the Hopman Cup before of the Australian Open. After a three-year sabbatical, it returned to France last year. The Olympic tennis event began on July 27.
